Azri Ansari

Joined Maybank Group in 2016 from the aerospace industry in the United Kingdom. Has a vast experience working and living abroad, bringing a fresh perspective into Maybank’s Group Human Capital.

Azri is currently the Head of Transformation for Group Human Capital (GHC). He is responsible for initiating and executing people transformation initiatives, ensuring a conducive and sustainable work environment that is future ready, to enable higher performance, culture and productivity for Maybankers across the Group. Additionally, Azri spearheads the transformation of People Analytics in Maybank to enhance the usage of insights and foresights of people data in our decision making by leveraging on his analytical and engineering background.

In 2016, Maybank Group firmly committed itself to scaling new heights in its next phase of growth guided by our 2020 Vision. As a result, Azri led the formulation of the GHC 2020 roadmap with the strategic objective of ‘growing and nurturing world class talent to deliver world class results’, ensuring alignment with Maybank’s 2020 initiatives.

Azri was instrumental in initiating the Extended Maternity Leave policy in Maybank in 2017, which led Maybank to be in the forefront of the nation’s Diversity and Inclusion Agenda, in line with Maybank’s Humanising mission. Additionally, Azri also introduced the Parental Leave Policy, allowing fathers to take up to 90 days of paternity leave to compliment the mother’s maternity leave.

Prior to joining Maybank, Azri was with Airbus for six years in the United Kingdom, involved in designing wings for the A380, A320 and A330neo. He also had the experience working with MNCs and international companies in San Francisco, Qatar and the Netherlands and have lived abroad for 15 years. Azri graduated from University of Bristol, UK with a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering (MEng with Honours).
